Good day parents and students,

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with the students this week.  I appreciate your support in assisting them to set up and trouble shoot their devices-oh how good it was to connect! On Tuesday afternoon, the Commissioner of Education clarified that Friday, April 24th will be a school holiday as it is typically reserved for the Bermuda Annual Agricultural Exhibition.  Therefore, we will not be having any Zoom Sessions tomorrow.

Next Week...
Next week, I look forward to resuming our Zoom meetings, but as I have discussed with the students, I will be organising one-on-one sessions with them so that I can address some reading benchmarks and individual goals.  I will send these out with the outline of next week's activities.

Online Math Resource
I have signed our class up for a 90-day subscription on a Math site that will allow them to work on assigned tasks when we don't have a scheduled Zoom meeting or they are unable to make it to a Math Zoom class.  I will send out the link, class code and student passwords in a separate email.

Dream Box
The students also still have their Dreambox log-in for additional Math resources.  Some of them will be familiar with Dreambox and have used it previously.  I added some Fractions assignments to their profiles, so they can also work on those as well.  I will also send out the link, user names and passwords for students who may have forgotten.

Additional Online Resources...
Finally, here are some links to some online resources where students can access games, quizzes, videos and practice tasks.  Some of you mentioned that your child enjoys working on the online games in their free time, so here you go! **Remember the resources provided are to give students a variety of means for them to access materials in preferred format.  They are not required to complete them all.
