The Department of Education is pleased to announce the following registration dates:  School Levels Dates Application Available Senior School Registration   November 12th, 13th and 14th, 2019 November 7th, 2019 Preschool Registration November 26th, 27th and 28th, 2019 November 21st, 2019  Parents of students currently enrolled will receive pre-printed registration forms that will be provided to parents prior to the registration periods for preschool and senior school.  Parents of students registering into the system will be required to submit a copy of a birth certificate and verification of address, along with the completed application form, which will be available on the Department of Education’s website, www.moed.bm or at the Department of Education at 44 West Church Street, Hamilton.  Applications received after the November 14th, 2019 deadline for senior school and November 28th, 2019 deadline for preschool will be considered late. Late application may affect a child’s enrolment into parents’ school of choice, as late applications are not considered until after all on time applications have been processed. Preschool and primary school parents who wish to learn more about the registration process may attend a parent information night which will be held November 7th, 2019 at CedarBridge Academy in the Kalmar Richards Conference Room from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Primary school registration will take place from January 28th to 30th, 2020. Middle school registration will be scheduled for February 2020. For more information regarding school registration, parents can contact the relevant school or the Department of Education at registration@moed.bm or 278-3307.

  

West End Primary School will be celebrating Character Counts Week on Monday, October 14 until Friday, October 18. During this important event the students will be involved in a number of activities that encourage and enhance positive character traits such as: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.  Here are activities that your child can participate in during Character Counts week: Monday – Trustworthiness and Citizenship (wear blue socks and or hat or purple socks and or hat with school uniform). Tuesday – Responsibility (wear green socks and or hat with school uniform). Wednesday – Caring (wear red socks and or hat with school uniforms). Thursday – Fairness and Respect – (wear orange socks and or hat or yellow socks and or hat with school uniform). Friday – each class will wear the color trait that they are representing.
