M1 - Rhythm and Pitch - We are learning to read, play, and create simple rhythmic and melodic lines using correct terminology and symbols. This includes reading notes on the treble and bass clef staves, as well as identifying note and rest values. We will also be performing and creating our own rhythms and melodies.
M2 - Scales and Tonality - We are learning to identify various types of scales and apply them to playing and creating simple melodic lines, using correct terms and symbols. This will include major and minor scales, and common intervals in popular music.
M3 - Popular Music - We are learning to identify, analyze, and perform popular music from the 1900s. This includes the genres of blues, jazz, rock and roll, rap, hip hop, funk, gospel, and more.
