Parent Education, Family Counselling and Parent Support

 

 

 

The aim of the Parent Support Services is two-fold:

  1. To provide support in a family-centered way to help you to grow confidence and skill in your parenting abilities
  2. To enhance your ability to interact with your child in ways that lead to positive social and emotional wellness for the entire family.

Services offered:

Parent Support to reduce stress with healthy problem solving skills and learn the effect of ACEs in early childhood

Family Counselling – Relationship challenges, co-parenting, divorce and separation, grief, postpartum blues, and family of origin challenges. An Experiential Counselling Model is used with children.

Parent Education Workshops – Group learning with activities for skill-building to improve family life at home.

  • Increasing good co-parenting skills to reduce overall stress
  • Encouraging optimal self-care and its importance for sustaining you and your child’s bond
